First, we had the jegging. Now, one of the hottest trends of the season is the hybrid shoe + bootie, otherwise known as the shootie. The shootie hits right on top of the foot and below the ankle, while a bootie hits at or above the ankle.
With one of the most flattering silhouettes in the boot family, its low stance, shows off more and elongates your leg. This style of shootie is the most universal, with a minimalist silhouette and little embellishment.
It can be worn with skirts, dresses and pants. Try a pant that is slim and hits right above the ankle. If you choose to pair your shootie with a skirt or dress, take into consideration your leg length. Find a pair that is not cut straight across your ankle. This shortens your leg length and is on overall unflattering look.
Depending on the level of detail, heel height and style, you can wear shooties and booties just about anywhere!
