Amy's Tried & True Tips for Thanksgiving Dressing

Traditionally, thoughts of Thanksgiving represent the start of the holiday season. For some, this means scouring online for new vegan Thanksgiving recipes and gluten free deserts, plus the perfect outfit to wear to the festivities...

Then, you pause to realize that Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa are just a few weeks (or days) after Thanksgiving. *GASP.*

You turn back to the computer to order an impossible number of holiday party appropriate pieces. You cross your fingers that at least one outfit will work. With so much going on, you know you’ll never make it to the stores yourself.

For Thanksgiving day, here are three tips so you don’t overthink your outfit.

Your Thanksgiving Outfit Should…

  1. Make you feel good.

  2. Be comfortable, even after you eat your feast.

  3. Be free of anything that dangles or drapes too much that might interfere with cooking.

My go to pieces are usually a pair of pants that aren’t too high rise and that have some stretch. Choose something with a pattern and pair with a basic top, or do the reverse with an interesting top and classic pants. Keep shoes comfortable- there are tons of fashionable flats these days. Finish it all off with a gold link chain, or layer a few for added impact. Classic, comfortable and chic.

If you’re still not sure about what flatters you most, book a stylist appointment with me. Looking at your measurements and frame, we are able to help you understand what shapes look best on you, no matter what the event or season.

Armed with this knowledge, I would gladly show up at your house with two garment bags filled with options for you to try at home. If I don’t see you, have a wonderful, Healthy Thanksgiving and Holiday.
