There are many fashion ‘rules’ which some of us may or may not live by: no white after Labor Day, no denim on denim, and you definitely don’t want to mix prints. While some fashion questions have a straight answer, others don’t, especially during transitions between seasons. Our Stylists thought we’d answer the one question that’s on everyone’s mind now…“When do I stop wearing sandals?!”

September

Say hello to fall! It’s the beginning of the fall season and back to school, until the last day of summer (September 23rd this year), we say rock those gladiators and wedge sandals. If it is too chilly, swap out your sandals for flats or sneakers.

October

Did someone say pumpkin spice? It’s officially autumn. Time to pack up those sandals and wedges, and bust out those boots and booties. If you aren’t convinced that it isn’t cold enough just yet to unpack your boots, a great alternative are tennis shoes and slip-ons.

November

Giving thanks…for great boots! Leather riding boots are something to be thankful for, which we love as our go-to shoe for late fall and early winter. Try paired with knee-high socks to keep your toes extra toasty.

When do you stop wearing your summer sandals when transitioning to fall?
